Expanded polystyrene Bead Bags are purchased in 12- 15 pound bags, largely from ground, recycled EPS. Typically used for horticultural applications with dirt, and sold to customers to mix with Peet Moss to assist in aereation for example.
Rectangular piece of flat cut sheet foam that is cut and shaped to fit the inside of a box, container, or tote to cushion your delicate items. Sizes range from 1/2 x 3 x 4 all the way up to 3 to 4 feet wide flat cut expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam. MFP can produce nearly anything dimensionally for your applications. Please call for sizes.
This category of EPS can be any 2D shape that can be curved, flat, straight, radiused, angled or a combination of all of the shapes 54 inches high by 16 feet long to a depth of 10 feet.If you can draw it on a piece of paper as s flat 2d object, we can make it. PSA is a pressure sensitive adhesive is a poly backed film that has a release liner on it that is typically applied to corrugated shipping materials.

EPS cornices resemble wooden cornices that are usually cut 8 feet in length and are installed as easily as cornices made of wood. Expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam cornices can be painted with a non-oil based paint or coated with a hard coat application. Higher density foam is typically used because the finish has a smoother appearance and is much more rigid. Michigan Foam Products can also make specialty cornices if you have a need for architectural replacements for old “period architecture cornices” if you are updating an older home. Light weight, moisture resistant, and with good resilience.
EIFS is a type of exterior wall cladding system. While Michigan Foam Products does not sell entire assembled EIFS panels, we do fabricate the expanded polystyrene (EPS) sheeted foam for its inner panels. Any density of EPS between 1 pound and three pound is possible depending on the R-Value necessary for your application.
EIFS consist of an EPS insulation board attached either with adhesives or with standard mechanical fasteners, to the layers below it, usually plywood or OSB, and finished off with a textured protective finish coat. EIFS units usually are non-load bearing.
Exterior EPS sheathing can be used for above ground or below ground insulation to increase R-Factor in walls, or 2 to 3 inch thickness of one pound density foam below ground to comply with new codes of 2015 that add the sheathing to be adheared to the outside of the exterior concrete wall all the way down to the footing itself of the home’s foundaton to give insualtion factor from the 55 degree ground. When energy savings is taken into consideration, sheathing the foundation makes perfect sense.
An EPS foam roofing insulation material to fill in voids and normally is installed over old existing roofing materials. It is the best lightweight and energy efficient answer to increase R-Value and supply a rigid sub-structure before new roof system is applied. Call one of our sales engineers for any custom shapes, densities, or sizes.
Geofoam expanded polystyrene (EPS) is perfect for below grade construction projects that need a stable, weather resistant EPS foam has low moisture absorbtion, lightweight, and easily cut and modified at your construction site. Geofoam is used as a replacement for traditional fill soil materials. Geofoam blocks are made in eight foot lengths at Michigan Foam Products so they can be placed very quickly onsite. Geofoam is up to 100 times lighter in weight than conventional soil. Because Geofoam is so light, workforce labor needed onsite is also reduced. Geofoam has been used across the country on massive road projects in more than 20 states so far, and with full support of the Federal Highway Administration. Used around the world since 1972, Europe and Japan have seen thousands of Geofoam projects completed … and usually much quicker and cost effective than any other method used. More information on Geofoam EPS.

FAQs
Yes. We recommend adhesives that are specified for foam (Liquid Nails LN-604 Interior Projects and Foamboard Adhesive), water-based contact adhesives (3M™ 30NF Green Fastbond Contact Adhesive), hot melt adhesives (low temperature hot glue sticks), select spray adhesives (3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Spray Adhesive), and MDI based adhesives (Gorilla Glue). Test a small area for compatibility as incompatible adhesives will damage EPS foam.
